LTAC Framework

LTAC provides a coherent framework for language services based on several basic principles, including:

  • recognizing a distinction between general language and LSP (Language for Specific Purposes), as well as a distinction between dynamic language and frozen language
  • distinguishing between assessment (which is integrated with training) and certification
  • defining three dimensions of language training: skill area, proficiency level of the learner, and mode of instruction
